Abstract
This Community Service aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of biopore holes in Pasuluhan Village as a means of rainwater absorption and a producer of natural compost. To manage the intensity of rainwater entering the soil and processing organic waste, Pasuluhan residents can make biopore infiltration holes as a simple technology that has great potential in managing the intensity of rainwater that is absorbed into the soil and organic waste management. The methods used include making biopore holes in 6 strategic locations in the Pasuluhan area. Several points used to make biopore holes are at the residences of Mr. Sukriadi, Mr. Subur and the Pasuluhan Village Office. The results of the study showed that biopore holes were able to increase the absorption of rainwater, which had a positive impact on reducing waterlogging and flooding. In addition, biopore holes have also proven effective in processing organic waste into compost that is beneficial for soil fertility. Thus, the application of this technology is expected to be a practical and environmentally friendly solution and easy to apply by local residents in managing water resources and waste in the Pasuluhan Area.
