Nutritional issues among school-aged children remain a critical issue, both globally and nationally, as they are directly related to physical and cognitive development, and academic achievement. This community service activity aims to improve students' nutritional knowledge through health promotion-based healthy nutrition education at SDN Sambong Dukuh I Jombang. The implementation method was carried out in four stages: a pre-test on nutritional knowledge, implementation of healthy nutrition education with an interactive approach, a post-test to measure changes in knowledge, and reflection and program evaluation. The instrument used was a nutritional knowledge questionnaire with assessment categories of good, sufficient, and poor. The results of the community service showed a significant increase in student knowledge after participating in the education. In the pre-test stage, the majority of students were in the poor category (≥70%), while after the intervention, the majority of students moved to the good category (≥80%) in almost all indicators. This improvement indicates that the school-based health promotion strategy is able to strengthen children's nutritional understanding. The discussion of the results also confirmed that the program's success was supported by participatory learning methods and the active involvement of teachers and health workers. This activity not only impacts individual students but also has the potential to expand its influence to the school and family environment. Thus, this program can be used as a model for strengthening school-based nutritional literacy that is applicable and sustainable.
Leo Yosdimyati RomliErna Tsalasatul FitriyahSudarsoTiara Fatma Pratiwi

Improving the quality of human resources (HR) is a key foundation in development economic theory, where investment in human capital plays a strategic role in driving sustainable economic growth. One form of this investment is basic literacy, which serves as the initial capital in building cognitive skills and individual productivity. This community service program was implemented in Curug Agung Village, Serang Regency, Banten, to strengthen the literacy of elementary school-aged children through an interactive educational approach and parental involvement. Activity methods included read-alouds, creative writing, educational games, and workshops for parents. Evaluation results showed an increase in reading ability by 35% and writing by 28% compared to the initial condition. These findings confirm that literacy investment at the village level can generate long-term returns on investment in the form of increased productivity, reduced educational disparities, and accelerated local economic development. This activity is relevant to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 and SDG 8) which emphasize quality education and inclusive economic growth.
Vadilla Mutia ZaharaStannia Cahaya Suci

Early childhood literacy skills are the main foundation in the formation of Indonesia's golden generation. Unfortunately, many parents still do not realize the importance of their involvement in forming a culture of literacy from an early age in the home environment. Responding to this challenge, a team of lecturers and students from the Speech Therapy Study Program conducted a community service activity with the theme "Early Literacy Awareness Movement" at Bibis Luhur Christian Kindergarten. This activity involved three lecturers and two students, targeting kindergarten teachers and parents. The activity began with a field exploration on July 7, 2025, and continued with counseling on July 22, 2025. The series of activities included the distribution of pre-tests, the presentation of educational materials on the importance of literacy at home, and the distribution of post-tests to measure participants' understanding. The results of the activity showed an increase in parents' understanding of their role in supporting children's literacy activities at home. This was evident in the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores, which showed a significant increase. This activity is expected to be the first step in building collaboration between schools and families in cultivating a culture of literacy from an early age.
Nadya SusantiAnggi Resina PutriAlfiani Vivi Sutanto

https://ejournal.poltekbaubau.ac.id/index.php/kamali/article/view/1034

Turus Hamlet, Banjarejo Village, Ngantang District, has high agricultural potential, but still faces challenges in managing household and agricultural organic waste. Suboptimal management causes pollution and environmental degradation. This Thematic Community Service Program (PM-T) aims to educate the community about organic waste processing through the cultivation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot larvae as waste decomposing agents. This activity involves lecturers and students from the Agrotechnology Study Program at Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University, targeting residents of Turus Hamlet. The implementation method includes site surveys, audiences, maggot nest construction, cultivation training, organic waste management, and socialization of activity results. The program results show that BSF maggots are able to decompose waste efficiently and produce compost (kasgot) which is useful as an organic fertilizer. The final socialization that displays the tangible results of the program strengthens the understanding and interest of residents to apply this technology independently. This program has a positive impact in increasing environmental awareness and opening up economic opportunities from maggot derivative products.
Anom Rohman WahyudiStefani Inpi SoloAgustinus Viparlo TambarLusiana EnjelRetno WilujengWidowati
