Abstract

Inpatient reporting is an important component of health service management because it serves as a basis for monitoring and evaluating service quality. However, the inpatient reporting process at UPTD Puskesmas Wajo is still conducted manually using register books and partially using Microsoft Excel, resulting in time-consuming data processing and report preparation as well as the risk of recording errors. In addition, calculations of inpatient service indicators such as Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Average Length of Stay (AVLOS), Bed Turn Over (BTO), and Turn Over Interval (TOI) have not been carried out completely, resulting in suboptimal service monitoring. This study aimed to design an inpatient reporting dashboard using Microsoft Access at UPTD Puskesmas Wajo in 2026. The method used was the waterfall method, which includes requirements analysis, system design, system development, testing, and evaluation. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The subject of the design was the head of the inpatient unit. The research results show that the inpatient reporting dashboard was successfully designed with login features, inpatient patient data input, bed data management, doctor data, service indicator reports, and dashboard graphs. Testing results using the black box method indicate that most system functions work well, although obstacles were still found in the calculation of the total BOR. The dashboard can help the processes of data input, data searching, report processing, and inpatient service monitoring in a faster and more organized manner.
