Abstract

This community service aims to improve the level of science literacy of students at Pekanbaru State Elementary Schools through the implementation of teacher combination in collaboration with students of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program. Through a naturalistic qualitative approach, data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the level of literacy and numeracy was still low at Pekanbaru State Elementary Schools, requiring special attention to improve it. This program includes a science literacy program with a Project Based Learning approach that is relevant to everyday life. The importance of literacy is not only limited to mathematics, science and science subjects but also includes other aspects, allowing students to analyze information, make predictions, and make decisions. The implementation of this program is expected to provide significant benefits for students, help them develop the skills needed for everyday life, and improve their ability to face literacy challenges in the future.
