Abstract

Milkfish is one of the most widely produced and consumed types of fish in Indonesia. Milkfish is rich in protein which is very good for health, besides being sold in whole form, people also process milkfish into processed products such as chips. Awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle is increasing in society, for this reason, Doctoral Students of English Education Postgraduate UNM are looking for innovations in processed milkfish as a healthy snack that is suitable for all ages from children to the elderly other than in the form of chips. Therefore, the effort undertaken is the BOLJELLY (Milkfish Jelly) Making Training: Milkfish Innovation as a Healthy Snack. This community service activity is intended to provide knowledge and skills to Doctoral Students of English Education Postgraduate UNM through training and mentoring so that they are able to make processed milkfish into healthy snacks such as milkfish jelly. This community service activity was carried out on November 26, 2025 at the UNM Postgraduate Campus on Jalan Bonto Langkasa, Banta - Bantaeng, Rappocini District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi with participants from UNM Postgraduate English Education Doctoral Students. The method used in the training is a participatory training method, namely involving partners in discussion activities, actively involved in milkfish jelly making training activities. The output of this activity is that partners or UNM Postgraduate English Education Doctoral Students are able to process milkfish into jelly as a healthy snack, increasing family income and the welfare of the surrounding community.
