Abstract

Blood donation and health checks are social activities that have a major positive impact in order to increase public awareness of the importance of blood donation to maintain health and help meet the blood needs of patients in need, as well as improve public health through free health checks. The method of implementing this activity is assisted by PMI in organizing blood donation and health check activities which are held at the Baubau Polytechnic. providing services starting with socialization about blood donation activities and health tests. The results of the community service show a high level of community participation in donating blood and conducting health checks. In addition, the community knows and understands more about the importance of donating blood for personal health and helping to reduce frequent blood deficiencies and the importance of conducting routine health checks which are carried out to detect health conditions early so as to reduce the incidence of preventable diseases.
